I truly admire artists who have an identifiable style, but I can’t say that I have one.  My work seems random and haphazard–but it’s not, really.  I express my experience, perception  and vision, and that manifests itself however it needs to.

I start by playing:  “What would happen if...?”  The clay moves me as much as I move it.  Form, texture and color–I’m always listening.  What is the clay telling me?  Where will it take me?

The piece emerges, reflecting what is going on inside:  my personal and artistic journey, social follies, the dynamics between men and women, and relationships.

Lately I’m having fun with a new series of platters and sculptures of Devils and Pookahs.  I’m also working on an autobiographical piece about the role of luck in my life.

I accept commissions for both sculpture and functional pieces.  Just email me!
